Earth from Space

Very rarely do I get the chance to make it to exhibitions,  but when I do..it has to be for something that I find to be of extreme interest and this exhibition...is something I would venture out for.

January 14 – March 11
Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service: Earth from Space
Hyndman Gallery
101 W. Second Street, Michigan City, IN 46360
Opening Reception: January 14, 6–8 p.m.

Satellite imagery of earth reveals the swirling arms of a massive hurricane, triangular shadows cast by the Great Pyramids, and the grid-like pattern of Kansas farmland in this exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution. Dramatic large-scale images are complimented by a digital video globe display and an OnCell audio tour. Earth from Space was organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The exhibition has been made possible by Global Imagination. Additional support has been provided by the U.S. Geological Survey and the Smithsonian Women's Committee. Sponsored by Great Lakes Catering, IBEW Local 531, NECA Northern Indiana Chapter, NIPSCO and Unity Foundation of LaPorte County .
