Manifest Disney by Tom Palazzolo

Not only am I a creator of art, but I also collect it.  I do not have a large collection, nor do I put myself into the category of Art Collector as I purchase solely on the basis that I LIKE what I buy.

Now-a-days, it seems that inflation is the key for a lot of "Art Collectors" and I put that title in quotes because I don't find many people that buy art to be true appreciators.  Notice that I did not say ALL as there are still quite a few REAL collectors out there with the sharks.  When you buy something because A. someone tells you it's a must have and B. you think ten years down the line it will be worth 10x it's current value..then NO you are not an Art Collector, you're a opportunist.  There is a large difference and one that I think is glazed over by those selling/buying the art.

I know that everyone likes money and (sadly) it makes the world go round, but if I have to sacrifice principle and (god forbid) purchase art because I actually LIKE it..then I think this route is a much happier one for me.

I would rather be surrounded by art that makes me feel and speaks a language only I can hear, then to have a pretty dollar sign gloating in the face of visitors only because I had the money to cause envy.

Collection Piece #1 - Manifest Disney by Tom Palazzolo

This is the first piece of art that I ever purchased. I like Tom's satirical humor and development using cartoon like images. Sketchy and rough, but not lacking in prominent message. A nice start, I think. :-)
